A bad week for technology

Well, my worst fear concerning my computer crash came true: My Treo has apparently died, with its years of work-related telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, addresses and other notes. (Even birthdays.)

The good news is that I managed to back it all up on my new hard drive before the phone died.

The bad news is now I have to replace my Treo, which is a real “ouch” situation.”

  1. Man, it’s like you’ve never heard of ebay or something. I haven’t paid more than $40 for a phone in years–including the last one (a SendoX, which is no longer made but still quite AWESOME!)

The Treos are more expensive, but you can find one easily for less than $80.00

  2. Or, alternately, Mr. Sidescrolling-Until-I-Edited-It Comment, it’s like I suspect a lot of the problems I have with this phone stem from its age, both technologically and mileage-wise.

  4. Assuming you don’t want to turn it on or anything, I can get you one for much, much cheaper than that.

  5. Beau,

What model Treo and what carrier? I might be able to help out.

I’ve had all but one model Treo (two if we count the 300) myself. Love them.

  6. This was my second Treo 300 to die. And yeah, I can’t imagine living with separate PDA and phones now. (Especially since I also lug around my full-sized iPod wherever I go.)
