What is your website worth?

In contrast, SpyroHints.com is worth $2,981.

But my World of Warcraft guild’s Web site is worth $10,640. Holy mackerel.

  1. You find the neatest stuff. Interesting to see what the top-valued sites are (biggest one I’ve found is google at $264 Million).

And speaking of World of Warcraft…

Your website at http://www.worldofwarcraft.com is worth $3,022,286. (Compare that to the paltry $581,291 for http://www.blizzard.com)

  2. So, on the day that YouTube went for more than $1.6 billion, this site estimates
    its worth as $1.9 million.

So either this site is a wee bit off, or someone over Google way got seriously scammed.

  3. I guess that means this site is worth $5 million, then.

    Score!

  4. The site is using an extremely flawed methodology – backlinks. Backlinks are becoming less relevant in google search engine algorithms (109 variables and counting apparently). Its easy to buy large amounts of backlinks to game the system and increase the relevance of your web site, which is why Google is moving away from considering how important your backlinks are.

Valuating a web site depends on a lot of variables, and a clever search engine optimization consultant can do a lot to almost any site without even using backlinks in any way. This site is primarily a marketing engine to collect leads.

  5. Are you saying the guild site isn’t worth $10 million?

  6. I would like to think so your guild could /rand for it and have some guy who barely logs on except to ask for help wins the entire 10 million :p

Just kidding. Well, your guild site is priceless to me anyways.
