Snow vs. Nevada
Well, we’re supposed to be leaving for State Line shortly, our staging point for a weekend in Vegas (baby!). So, naturally, Hesperia’s just begun having a blowing snowstorm.
We’ll see how it goes.
- I’ll be trying out a new still-in-the-original-box RoadTrip from Griffin to listen to the iPod in Jenn’s tape deck-free car. (I use an old fashioned CD-to-tape converter in my car.)
- Incidentally, the Lands End small carry-on bag Publisher Stephan Wingert got everyone for the Daily Press (& etc.) Christmas party, embroidered with all the newspaper names? Awesome bag.

i don’t know anything about the Roadtrip, but most, if not all, of the people i know of who use an FM transmitter to use their iPod in their car say they are a complete waste of cash. Whether or not this is due to them buying one of the ‘cheap’ ones that are prevalent on eBay…

This worked out pretty well, with the caveat that as we drove, I had to switch stations a few times as we moved into broadcast range of strong stations on the frequencies I had the unit transmitting on.
But even in those cases, the worst that happened was a bit of static cutting in. The music was still perfectly audible, no worse than many radio stations, had I been listening to them on the drive.
