The Cutting Edge: Going for the Gold
I thought I had seen awful movies. I’d seen Highlander II. I’d seen Deep Blue Sea. I’d seen Instinct. But I never truly looked into the face of the abyss until I’d seen this movie.
This film makes me doubt the existence of a benevolent God.
Under no circumstances see this movie.

I still cannot fathom your dislike for “Deep Blue Sea”. This movie is your deepest, darkest, “love of sharks”
secret made whole and living and wonderful.
Unless, you know, you were rooting for the sharks and were disappointed in the ending.
Unrelated note: “Thank You For Smoking” is excellent…

1) Sharks who swim backwards
2) Sharks who change size based on how deep the water in a given area is
3) All the acting except for Samuel L. Jackson’s and LL’s.
4) The hot young 21-year-old head of research.
The movie is like “Baywatch: The Shark Incident.”
My shark love found a new outlet in “Open Water.” Where, yes, the sharks win in the end.

And on a related note, why in the name of God were you watching either of “The Cutting Edge” movies? Did you lose a bet?

Marriage.

I want credit for at least fast-fowarding through the sequel!

Oh, Jenn, that’s just mean. When the vows call “for better or worse”, that doesn’t mean you go out
and actively SEEK OUT the worse…
Very minimal credit. Partial credit in the extreme.
