Who is Jeffrey Phillips?

I’ve been getting a ton of spam directed to “jeffrey phillips,” which I assume is a marker to designate who originally sent it or who responded to it or something.

But a glance at Google doesn’t suggest it’s showing up in mass quantities elsewhere. Are other people getting stuff for him as well, or is it just some wonderful algorithm spitting it out for me, based on my domain name or something?

  1. For me, the perennial SPAM marker is the name “William” somewhere in the subject line (Often rather ungrammatically). Should I suspect that the spammers may not be English speakers?

IN RE: Russian spammers, did you follow the story of the demise of the Blue Star (?) anti-spam project? While 6 of 10 of the biggest spammers were brought into line, one of the remaining four both threatened individual clients in the anti-spam consortium and the world in general with a DOS campaign to lock everyone out. The anti-spam company has ceased all anti-spam efforts rather than be the focus of crashing the entire internet. Where is the Man of Steel when such supervillains need crushing?

  2. Hi,

There is a 14 year old boy missing from Port Washington, Wis. His name is Jeffrey Phillips. People in town are trying to get information regarding his missing status, as the local police don’t seem to be moving on the situation. Unfortunately, a body was found in a creek yesterday morning, but they have not released the identity of the child yet. This is a small c I am sure that is why you are receiving emails or whatever…people are just wondering why there is no info out there on him.
